En el marco del municipio de Pereira, Risaralda, se evidencia que uno de los puntos que debe de fortalecerse a nivel institucional es el tema de educación ambiental, en el sentido de poder generar herramientas que permitan al sector educativo incluir la dimensión ambiental como factor determinante en los programas curriculares.
En ese sentido, la Institución Educativa Combia, Sede La Renta no es la excepción a este problema, por lo tanto, la ausencia de una propuesta de educación ambiental no formal para el fortalecimiento de la cultura ambiental en la institución educativa se deriva en el incumplimiento normatividad ambiental vigente a nivel nacional principalmente en lo reglamentado por el Decreto 1743 de 1994 (Ministerio de Educación, 1994).
En el proceso metodológico que se plantea este trabajo de grado se asocia a dar cumplimiento con el objetivo general que pretende formular una propuesta de educación ambiental no formal para el fortalecimiento de la cultura ambiental en la institución educativa Combia, sede La Renta, municipio de Pereira, Risaralda. Siendo consistentes con esto, se propone técnicas, instrumentos y actividades orientadas a lograr cada uno de los objetivos específicos, Por lo tanto, dentro de este ejercicio académico, se proponen 3 momentos permeados a partir de una investigación cualitativa.
Con relación al primer objetivo específico de este ejercicio académico, se pretende estimar la huella de carbono asociada a la producción de residuos sólidos de la Institución Educativa, para lo cual se propone desde un momento de diagnosis, la aplicación de un seguimiento y valoración de la producción de residuos sólidos de la IE y su posterior pesaje estimado en kg/mes.
En el marco del segundo momento de este ejercicio académico, se propone desde un estadio teórico-práctico, realizar actividades educativas no formales que permitan una gestión integral de los residuos sólidos. Para esto, se desarrollará una capacitación que permita dar respuesta a los siguientes temas: ¿qué son los residuos sólidos?;
¿cuál es su problemática a nivel global y nacional?.
En el tercer objetivo específico, en el cual se pretende elaborar lineamientos estratégicos para incluir la dimensión ambiental al currículo de la institución educativa, en un primer lugar se realizará una revisión de referencias normativas asociadas a instrumentos de planificación, leyes, decretos y resoluciones que permitan dar cuenta de la articulación de las propuestas con un marco de referencia.

In the methodological process that this degree work is proposed, it is associated with complying with the general objective that aims to formulate a proposal for non-formal environmental education for the strengthening of environmental culture in the Combia educational institution, La Renta headquarters, Pereira municipality. , Risaralda. Being consistent with this, techniques, instruments and activities aimed at achieving each of the specific objectives are proposed. Therefore, within this academic exercise, 3 moments permeated from qualitative research are proposed. In relation to the first specific objective of this academic exercise, it is intended to estimate the carbon footprint associated with the production of solid waste of the Educational Institution, for which it is proposed from a moment of diagnosis, the application of monitoring and assessment of the IE solid waste production and its subsequent estimated weighing in kg/month. Within the framework of the second moment of this academic exercise, it is proposed from a theoretical-practical stage, to carry out non-formal educational activities that allow an integral management of solid waste. For this, a training will be developed that allows responding to the following topics: what are solid waste?; What is your problem at a global and national level? In the third specific objective, in which it is intended to develop strategic guidelines to include the environmental dimension to the curriculum of the educational institution, in the first place a review of normative references associated with planning instruments, laws, decrees and resolutions that allow give an account of the articulation of the proposals with a frame of reference.
