La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo general diseñar una propuesta para la
formación de habilidades blandas en los estudiantes del programa de Ingeniería Industrial de la
Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, lo anterior con el propósito de potenciar las oportunidades
de empleabilidad de los estudiantes, facilitando su posterior inserción en el mercado laboral al
fortalecer su perfil profesional.
Para llevar a cabo este estudio, se encuestaron a los Líderes de Talento Humano de
algunas empresas del Área Metropolitana Centro Occidente de Pereira, con el fin de indagar
cuáles eran las principales habilidades blandas que se tenían en cuenta al momento de
seleccionar y contratar personal para sus respectivas organizaciones. Posteriormente, se
encuestaron a los estudiantes de noveno y décimo semestre del programa de Ingeniería Industrial
de la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, en donde se indagó acerca de la percepción que ellos
tenían frente al desarrollo de estas habilidades en el transcurso de la carrera, así mismo, la
percepción que tenían sobre el nivel de desarrollo de dichas habilidades en los docentes de las
diferentes áreas del programa.
Finalmente, de acuerdo con la información recolectada y la documentación investigada
acerca del tema y cómo se desarrolla actualmente en la Universidad, se procedió a la realización
de diferentes propuestas orientadas al desarrollo y fortalecimiento de estas habilidades en el
transcurso de la formación académica del programa de Ingeniería Industrial tanto para
estudiantes como para docentes.
The present research aimed to design a proposal for the development of soft skills in the students of the Industrial Engineering program at Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira. The purpose of this was to subsequently enhance the possibilities of engaging with a company. To carry out this study, Human Talent Leaders from several companies in the Central West Metropolitan Area of Pereira were surveyed in order to investigate the main soft skills taken into account when selecting and hiring personnel for their respective organizations. Subsequently, students from the 9th and 10th semesters of the Industrial Engineering program at Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira were surveyed to inquire about their perception of the development of these skills throughout their academic career, as well as their perception of the level of development of these skills in the faculty members of different areas within the program. Finally, based on the collected information and the researched documentation regarding the topic and its current implementation at the University, different proposals were developed aimed at the development and strengthening of these skills throughout the academic training of the Industrial Engineering program, targeting both students and faculty.
